After studying at Birmingham and Brighton Polytechnics, Janet taught printmaking at Newham College of Further Education until June 2000 and worked from her studio in Bow, East London. She has now relocated to Brighton where she continues printing at home while waiting for her new studio to be built

She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers ( RE ) and a founder member of East London Printmakers and exhibits regularly with both societies.
