I lived and worked in this unprepossessing area of London for more than 30 years and it proved fertile ground for my imagination, always on the lookout for the odd, slightly surreal juxtapositions that occur in these everyday surroundings. While each print is inspired by a particular place, my intention was to capture some of the universal qualities of our contemporary urban environment.
